Week 15 Story

Author's Note: I used the story Heroes of Hampi for inspiration. I added my own twist to the story. This is also the story from week 14 that I have chosen to revise.

On the great river of Faley, there was a city named Bompa. The city of Bompa was powerful. From the city, you were able to see what was left from ancient times. King Jack ruled over the city of Bompa. His family had been ruling Bompa for centuries now. King Jack had sixteen successors to his throne. Two brothers Conor and Patrick defended the kingdom with everything they had. They would do everything they could to protect the kingdom. The brothers fought in wars.

The brothers loved to hunt. One day when they were out hunting, they saw a rabbit. The rabbit had thick fur and bright blue eyes. The rabbit was hopping around the boys. The rabbit was brave and fierce. He did not fear the hunters who might have killed him. The rabbit was fearless.

A man saw this interaction and approached the brothers. He told them that the rabbit was a sign. It was a sign that the brothers would become Kings.

The brothers were excited and ready to take on this challenge.

The brothers returned back to the city of Bompa. They were both excited to take on this challenge. Then it occurred to them, which one would actually be King? Only one.

King Jack appointed Conor as King. He ruled for many years until Patrick decided there needed to be a change. One night Patrick came in and poisoned Conor's medicine. Conor died in his sleep. After the news of Conor's death spread, a panic arose to find a new King. Patrick offered himself to fulfill this role. The Kingdom was grateful and the city of Bompa remained peaceful... for only a few more years.

At the end of the day, the rabbit was right. Both brothers became King. One just had to be killed in order for the prediction to come true.
