Week 14 Story

Author's Note: I used the story Heroes of Hampi for inspiration.

On the great river of Faley, there was a city named Bompa. The city of Bompa was powerful. From the city, you were able to see what was left from ancient times. King Jack ruled over the city of Bompa. His family had been ruling Bompa for centuries now. King Jack had sixteen successors to his throne. Two brothers Conor and Patrick defended the kingdom with everything they had. They would do everything they could to protect the kingdom. The brothers fought in wars.

The brothers loved to hunt. One day when they were out hunting, they saw a rabbit. The rabbit had thick fur and bright blue eyes. The rabbit was hopping around the boys. The rabbit was brave and fierce. He did not fear the hunters who might have killed him. The rabbit was fearless.

A man saw this interaction and approached the brothers. He told them that the rabbit was a sign. It was a sign that the brothers would become Kings.

The brothers were excited and ready to take on this challenge.

  1. Hey Megan,

Lovely short story. Everything was simple and easy to read. I just wonder is this like a story you are retell or writing from scratch. Anyway, Bompa sounds very familiar. I may have heard it somewhere because the word is so catchy that it runs through my head a few time while I was reading your story.

  2. Hi Megan! I like how you wrote the story, it gets the point across and tells a story. I would just say to add to the author's note a little more. I do not know what the story inspiration was, but the story was conveyed well enough that I figured out the premise of it. I thought your description of the bunny was so cute too.
